Wakame is a brown seaweed with a fairly mild flavour and is used primarily in East Asian cooking. In Japanese cooking, wakame is used in miso soup and salads, among other dishes. In Korea it is known as miyeok and in China as qundaicai. It is very rich in vitamins and minerals.
This organic wakame seaweed comes from Ise-Shima Bay south of Japan. This region is also a mecca for Japanese seaweed production. Thanks to its special location, the right temperature, minimal pollution, the presence of rich nutrients and seaweed harvesters with centuries of experience, the best seaweed in the world comes from here.
