Tamari is a Japanese, naturally gluten-free soy sauce with a full-bodied, well-balanced flavour. The soy sauce is made according to an old Japanese tradition, in which the soybeans undergo a long maturation and fermentation process that is beneficial for the stomach. Delicious in dressings and dips, with stir-fried vegetables, mixed with brown rice, sesame seeds and nori flakes, or added to a fresh marinade with honey/agave, grated garlic and ginger. Try roasting plain nuts and seeds with tamari and eat them as a snack or sprinkle them over dishes. It is also lovely placed on the kitchen table and used as a seasoning—so delicious that the salt cellar will not be missed!
